2021 will be the year of short supply of consoles as well as GPU. The demand for the famous Xbox Series X by Microsoft is at an all-time high, but the catch is that the supply is apparently quite short for it and it just cannot keep it up with the demand till the month of June, according to Microsoft themselves. This was reported by the head of investor relations, by Mike Spencer. Therefore, the supply won’t be able to keep up with the demand of the Xbox Series X all the way till June.
All the fans that wanted Xbox Series X for themselves will have to wait till June. Microsoft sold a total of Xbox Series X that gave them a revenue of 5 billion dollars in their entire history. This is the biggest revenue they have gotten, and it surpassed everyone’s expectations.
It has been quite hard to get your hand on the latest PS5, graphics cards such as Nvidia or AMD’s and especially the Xbox Series X, mainly due to the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic has made everyone housebound and no one is actually allowed to go outside and interact with people unless it is necessary or essential. Therefore, people wanted to keep themselves busy and wanted to do something while they were around the house, especially after work, so they bought latest graphic cards, consoles such as PS5 and Xbox Series X, and now there is going to be a shortage of all these gadgets.
Now, the Xbox Series X is being sold in high prices due to scalpers, mainly due to the fact that some retailers keep such consoles in their storage and only sell them when they are out of stock, which gives them a chance to increase the prices and sell them for however they want. Hopefully, the console will be restocked as soon as April, or as late as June as said by Microsoft as this pandemic won’t be ending anytime soon.
