28 EU countries are also getting this feature.
Samsung’s Health Monitor application is being expanded to 31 more countries, and 28 EU countries will also get it. People in these countries will get this new feature in Galaxy Watch 3 or they will get this feature in Galaxy Active 2, the smartwatch. This feature will take blood pressure readings and EKG (Electrocardiogram) readings easily.
The application was passed by the CE, according to Samsung, which means that the app can work and be distributed in the Europe as it passed all the regulations. The app the countries that will be getting in Europe are the following: Austria, Bulgaria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, UK, Ireland, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Greece, Latvia, Iceland, and Lithuania.
In order for one to be able to take EKG or if they want a blood pressure reading, they need to be able to have Samsung Health Monitor application installed on their Galaxy smartphone as well as on the Galaxy Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3. The new feature will be released on February the 4th according to Samsung.
Although Apple already has released a watch that can take EKG reading back in 2018, it has yet to roll out one that can take blood pressure readings. Therefore, Samsung is in the lead when it comes to providing easy and innovating ideas and features related to medical reasons. Samsung also said that the feature might be a little late in some markets, as it depends on numerous factors such as government policies and the availability of their franchises in different countries. But when the feature does roll out, it will be able to offer easy blood pressure readings as well as EKG.
