If you ever wanted to hear the actor Nicolas Cage speak about his favorite swear words, Netflix has you covered. Cage will host the forthcoming Swear Words History series, according to Variety. The series, which premieres on January 5, uncovers the provenance of words that are sometimes tabulators to be spoken in public. Watch Cage’s opine of one of the swear words that he’s going to analyze in the show’s latest trailer, which was released on Wednesday.
“It is a thing of great mystery and wonder, twitching with great strength and determination,” Cage said, wearing a suit and drawing on a canvas in the new Netflix trailer. “That being said, buried within fragile femininity; and dare I even say naughtiness. Look one way and you see a gentile feline innocence. Look another way and … oh my!”

Can you guess what the curse word Cage describes?
Swear Words Past will consist of six 20-minute episodes exploring the roots and use of words widely perceived as offensive. Cage would also have the experience of individuals, including historians and language experts. Comedian guest stars including Nikki Glaser, Jim Jefferies, Nick Offerman, and Sarah Silverman will also pause to keep Cage company.
Netflix describes Swear Words History as The history lesson you didn’t know you needed” as “explores the origins, pop culture-usage, science and cultural impact of curse words.” The six-episode series featuring interviews with experts in etymology, pop culture, historians, and entertainers, will reveal the origins of “f**k,” “s**t,” “bitch,” “dick,” “p***y,” and “damn.”
In contrast, to Swear Words History, Cage will be introducing Tiger King’s excentric Joe Exotic (which we’ve been eagerly predicting) in the forthcoming scripted movie. This would be the first time that Cage has been a leading character in a televised TV series in his five-decade film career.
