The latest technology from Google will make sure you become a fan of Opera with its machine learning experiment.
The cute adorable blobs by Google will sing in an operatic music when you drag them up and down. By dragging these cute blobs up and down you can change their pitch, when you drag them from one side to the other, you will be able to change their vowel sounds. The blobs will sing in harmony and it is magical to hear them.
The amazing voices that you can hear are from Christian Joel, Joanna Gamble, Frederick Tong, and Olivia Doutney, all of them recorded a total of 16 hours of them singing. You won’t be hearing their own voices but the voices that Google’s new machine learning model does to those recordings. The blogs will sing what the algorithm understands as opera, by it learning through the training it will go through.
David Li, the creator of this worked in partnership with Google’s Art and Culture team. It just shows how something new and amazing can come out of technology like this.
Although the blobs cannot speak words, they can simply just make vowel sounds, but still despite that they still manage to showcase the elements of a real opera—these aren’t just random noises, listeners can tell that these blobs sound unique and different, which is exactly what is needed this year that is riddled with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The greatest part about this is the holiday surprise one gets when they click the icons of Christmas tree, which will make the cute blobs sing numerous Christmas carols. These adorable blobs are here to give joy to this pandemic ridden world, and will lift the mood this holiday season.
